Yn y canol oesodd roedd gan Llandaff, fel sawl Cadeirlan nodedig arall bulpudwm a leolwyd ym mhen gorllewinol y c\u00f4r. Nid oes unrhyw \u00f4l ohono bellach ac nid oedd pulpudwm yn rhan o adferiad Prichard. Dyna wraidd y beirniadu fod Cadeirlan Llandaf yn debyg i Eglwys Blwyf fawr.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dylid cuddio dirgewlch a dylai golygfa agor i olygfa arall; o\u2019r foment y cyrhaeddwn y Gadeirlan, dylai\u2019r siwrne at yr Allor Fawr fod yn gyfres o gamau a ddyluniwyd yn gynnil.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Roedd barn Pace yn cydfynd \u00e2 barn y Deon Glyn Simon, a\u2019i apwyntiodd, a chytunodd y Cabidwl y dylai rhyw fath o fwa fyddai\u2019n sail i ran o\u2019r organ o leiaf a byddai\u2019n fodd i arddangos darn godidog o gelfyddyd cyfoes gael ei adeiladu lle buasai pulpudwm mewn dyddiau gynt, ond ni ddylai guddio\u2019r olygfa ar hyd y Gadeirlan o\u2019r llawr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cyflwynwyd dau gynllun gan Pace. Y cyntaf oedd ar gyfer baldacchino ar bedair colofn gyda murlun o destun priodol megis \u2018Y Farnedigaeth Olaf\u2019 oddi tano, yn sail i ran o\u2019r organ ac uwchben allor sefydlog ar gyfer y corff. Yr arlunydd mewn golwg oedd Stanely Spencer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
