Mae gan y Gaderilan gasgliad clodwiw o gofebau delwol. Mae amryw ohonynt wedi bod yn destun astudiaeth a chrynodeb yn unig a geir yma. Am ragor o wybodaeth,, gweler yr adran Darllen Pellach isod<\/a> o dan Rh. Biebrach ac M. Gray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae\u2019r ddelw sydd mewn cilfach yn yr Eil Ddeheuol yn cael ei dddehongli\u2019n dradodiadol fel darluniad o\u2019r Esgob Henri o\u2019r Fenni (m. 1218). Er nad yw\u2019r cynllun sydd i\u2019w weld yn astudiaeth Browne Willis o\u2019r Gadeirlan a gyhoeddwyd ym 1719 yn gwbl gywir, efallai mai dyma\u2019r ddelw o \u2018Gofeb o Esgob wedi\u2019i ddifwyno\u2019. Os felly, fe\u2019i symudwyd i\u2019w safle bresennol yn ddiweddarach, gan fod cynllun 1719 yn ei leoli i\u2019r dwyrain o D\u0177\u2019r Cabidwl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ymhellach ar hyd yr eil ddwyreiniol ac o dan risiau\u2019r organ, gwelir maen lled-ddelwol wedi erydu o Philip Taverner a\u2019i wraig. Mae\u2019r ysgrifiad wedi\u2019i gofnodi mewn llawysgrif yn Llyfrgell Bodleian, Rhydychen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ar yr ochr ddeheuol, mewn cilfach yng Nghapel Teilo, gwelir delw alabastr honedig o\u2019r Foneddiges Christian Audley (m.1409).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae tri delw esgobaethol o\u2019r 13eg ganrif, ond yn fwy diweddar na rhai Henry, yn cynrychioli\u2019r Saint Dyfrig, Teilo ac Euddogwy. Nid yw safle gwreiddiol y ffigyrau\u2019n sicr a cheir s\u00f4n, efallai eu bod wedi\u2019u gosod are u traed mewn cilfachau ar y talcen gorllewinol. Mae delwau Euddogwy i\u2019w gweld I\u2019r gogledd o\u2019r corff, gyda Theilo\u2019n gorwedd ar safle\u2019i feddrod yn y cysegr, yn Dilyn adnewyddiad yn oes Fictoria. I\u2019r chwith o ben yr Esgob, gwelir delwau\u2019r Forwyn a\u2019r Baban wedi\u2019u difrodi. Islaw\u2019r ddelw, gwelir golygfeydd o fywyd Teilo a gr\u00ebwyd gan Frank Roper ym 1973.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae\u2019r trydydd Esgob, Dyfrig, wedi\u2019\u2019i leoli gyferbyn \u00e2\u2019r fynedfa i\u2019r Capel sy\u2019n dwyn ei new, ond a adnabyddwyd yn wreiddiol fel Capel Mathew. Mae\u2019r \u2018beddrod\u2019 yn gymysgedd o ddwy gofeb sy\u2019n dyddio o\u2019r 13eg i\u2019r 15ed ganrif. Ar gynllun Browne Willis, dsigrifir y gofeb fel \u2018Cofebau honedig yr Esgob Bromfield\u2019. Bu farw Edward Bromfield ym 1393 ac fe\u2019i gysegrwyd yn Esgob Llandaf ym mis Ionawr 1390.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae dwy nodwedd arbennig yn perthyn i\u2019r beddrod. O dan y bwa, mae esiampl o Ddelwedd Tosturi, darluniad o Grist yn godi o\u2019i arch, gyda chlwyfau wedi\u2019u paentio\u2019n wreiddiol. Yng nghefn y gilfach gwelir tarian sy\u2019n arddangos arfau\u2019r dioddefaint, er enghraifft yr ordd a\u2019r hoelion o\u2019r croeshoelio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ceir tri chofeb nodedig arall yng Nghapel Dyfrig. Yn y mur gogleddol, mae cerfiad o gorff pwy bynnag a gladdwyd yno. Dim ond tri chofeb tebyg sydd i\u2019w gweld yng Nghymru. Mae cofebau tebyg yn dyddio o\u2019r 15ed i\u2019r 16eg ganrif ac i atgoffa pobl i baratoi ar gyfer eu marwolaeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O\u2019r tri delw o aelodau\u2019r Teulu Mathew o Landaf a Radyr, mae dau yn gorwedd yng Nghapel Dyfrig. David Mathew yw\u2019r ffigwr ar ei ben ei hun. Mae tipyn o fytholeg yn gysylltiedig \u00e2 David Mathew, megis achub bywyd Brenin Edward IV ym mrwydr Towton ym 1461. Erbyn y 1450au, roedd wedi cyrraedd canol oed, ac felly\u2019n anhebygol o fod wedi ymladd yn y frwydr. Mae\u2019n anhebygol hefyd y cafodd ei urddo\u2019n farchog. Mae beddrod \u0175yr David, Christopher Mathew Ysw (m ar \u00f4l 1531), yngh\u0177d \u00e2\u2019i wraig, Elizabeth, i\u2019w weld yn y gilfach rhwng Capel Mair a Chapel Dyfrig. Mae ychydig o\u2019r gwaith paent wedi goroesi \u2013 buasai\u2019r rhelyw o\u2019r ffigyrau yma wedi\u2019u paentio\u2019n wreiddiol. Mae g\u0175r gweddigar wrthi\u2019n gwedd\u00efo, er yn cysgu, i\u2019w weld o dan droed un o\u2019r delwau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae\u2019r ddelw arall yng Nghapel Dyfrig yn cynrychioli John Marshall, Esgob Llandaf (1478-96) yn y man nodwyd yn ei ewyllys. Mae\u2019n ddadleuol os yw\u2019r gist sy\u2019n dal y ddelw yn wreiddiol ai peidio ac mae ategiad at y beddrod ar un pen yn esiampl arall o arfau\u2019r dioddefaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yng nghornel gogledd-ddwyreiniol Capel Mair, gwelir delw Gwilym Brewys, Esgob Llandaf (1266-87) ac adeiladwr y capel. Mae\u2019n dwyn yr ysgrifiad WILLELMUS DE BREWSA EP\u2019S LA\u2019D. Mae cynllun 1719 yn dangos y ddelw yn yr union man lle\u2019i gwelir heddiw, er fod yr Esgob wedi colli\u2019i draed yn y cyfamser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae trydydd beddrod sy\u2019n perthyn i deulu Mathew, Syr William (m. 1528) a\u2019r Fonesig Jenet, i\u2019w weld ger y pulpud yn y corff. Dyma\u2019r lleliad gwreiddiol, yn \u00f4l cynllun 1719, er ei fod wedi\u2019i amgylchynu \u00e2 rheiliau yn y cyfnod hwnnw. Ar ryw adeg, fe\u2019i symudwyd i sefyll ar ei draed yn Nh\u0177\u2019r Cabidwl . Urddwyd William gan Harri\u2019r Wythfed am ei gyfraniad i ymgyrch Harri yn Ffrainc ym 1513.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
